Our work
Neighbours and other faiths
We share the Greenwich Peninsula with thousands of neighbours of every faith and none, and we share the Aperture Building's community space with other groups. Promoting religious harmony, and understanding of Islam among the wider public, are purposes our constitution gives us.
Come and see
Anyone is welcome to visit, to watch a Friday prayer respectfully, or to ask about what we believe and why we do what we do. Schools, residents' groups and other congregations can arrange a visit or a talk by e-mail. What to expect when you visit.
Good neighbours
We are tenants in a shared building, and we behave like it: the space is set up and returned tidy every Friday, parking and noise are kept in mind, and our volunteers are briefed to greet everyone, whoever they are. If anything about our use of the building affects you, tell us directly at [email protected]; we would rather hear it first.
Working with other faiths
The peninsula's churches and faith groups are our neighbours in the fullest sense. We want to learn from them, share what we have in common, and be clear about where we differ, with respect. Joint events, visits and shared causes on the peninsula are open invitations; write to us.
